Hello, my name is Simba K and I have been a home carer for 14 years. As a male caregiver, I have provided hourly, live-in, and overnight care to many individuals with different types of impairments and illnesses. My primary motivation for caring is to help people lead independent lives and improve their quality of life.
I pride myself on my caring, friendly, and helpful nature, and always make it a point to build a connection with those I care for. Being able to assist with daily chores such as bathing, toileting, dressing, catheter care, and companionship is second nature to me. I have experience with a variety of medical conditions such as mild cognitive impairment, bedbound patients, Parkinson's disease, anxiety, and depression.
Outside of caregiving, I love walking, DIY, music, and sports. I am also comfortable with pets and can care for cats, dogs, and fish.
